Prescription Disposal

The Beaver County Sheriff’s Prescription Drop Box is intended to provide the public with a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of prescription and non-prescription medications. Statistics tell us that the main starting point for drug abuse is unused prescription drugs kept in a home. By using the Prescription Drop Box, citizens can safely dispose of unwanted and unused medications.

The Prescription Drop Box is located at the front entrance of the Beaver County Public Safety Facility, 2270 South 525 West, Beaver, UT. It is available to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please follow the listed instructions to use this service:

  • Patches
  • Pet medications
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Samples
  • Vitamins

Items Not Accepted

  • Aerosol cans
  • Chemotherapy medications
  • Inhalers
  • Liquids and ointments
  • Needles/syringes
  • Thermometers

Destruction of the Prescriptions

The Sheriff’s Office will then arrange for the safe and legal destruction of the accumulated materials in conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
