Sheriff Cameron Noel

Cameron Noel was elected to the office of Sheriff in January of 2006

He has served in numerous positions in law enforcement and is the only person in his family to choose the career of law enforcement.

He has traveled throughout the world and has lived in numerous areas within the United States. He graduated from Southern Utah State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and his associates in Criminal Justice. In 1990 Cameron was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. He served his country in Operation Desert Storm as a military police officer and helped run one of the largest prisoner of war camps during this war. Cameron returned to his country with honors and was hired by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office. He worked as an undercover narcotics agent where he served Kane and Garfield counties. Cameron decided to move to the community of Beaver in 1992 where he accepted employment with the Beaver City Police Department. He moved up the ranks and eventually started employment with the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office in 1995. He was assigned to investigations and was promoted to patrol sergeant.

Sheriff Noel graduated from the Utah department of corrections academy in 1999.

In 2004 Sheriff Noel attended and graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy in Quantico Virginia, Session 216.

He has hundred’s of hours of training in the field of investigations, patrol tactics, corrections, correctional law, leadership and numerous hours in the field of law enforcement.

He has served as a state delegate and as the Chairman of the Beaver County Republican Party. He’s an active member of the Utah Sheriff’s Association where he served as President, Western Sheriff’s Association and National Sheriff’s Association. He serves as a member on the NSA “Gift of Life committee” and has been involved in numerous church and civic organizations.

He knows how to develop policy and procedures that enhances staff performance. Hes built partnerships and mutual aid programs with local, state, federal allied agencies and community agencies’. He currently manages a $7,000,000.00 annual budget.

Cameron has been happily married for 25 years to Sarah Noel. Together they raised 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls.
